Variables
Mallard
Occurred the most disproportionately in hexagons with May maximum
temperature (hex. med.) of 18-23 C and April precipitation (hex. min.)
of 19-91 mm. Almost as likely to occur in hexagons with slightly
cooler May maximum temperature (hex. med. 12-17 C) if topography
is relatively flat and May maximum temperature (hex. avg.) is 10.79-
17.05 C. The logistic regression analysis showed positive or negative
association with agricultural lands, and-to a lesser degree-wetlands
and wet shrubland, Douglas-fir - white fir - tanoak - madrone mixed
forest, April precipitation (hex. avg.), May maximum temperature
(hex. med.), June maximum temperature (hex. med.), July precipitation
(hex. min.), and the extent of public land.
